So anyway, new site! New Atrox Comics every Tuesday! Heck, there was a new one JUST YESTERDAY. That's almost like today!

Okay, the new Atrox Comic is up at last. Sorry for the delay. With our new site design, this will be much less likely to happen. We're hoping to have the new site ready to go before APE this weekend. Fingers crossed!

THE DAY HAS COME AT LAST! Yes, our brand-new Atrox Comics start right here, right now!



Now I know this is going up Wednesday (technically), but please be aware that future installments will update EVERY TUESDAY. That's right, new strip style, new update day. So mark your calendars, because you will not want to miss all our new three-dimensional adventures.

(Those who are new to the strip might want to read the story introducing B-Trox and Atrox's bizarre life cycle.)

Bear in mind that this was the conversation around 9:30. Maybe we need to start socializing more responsibly. Or at least in a less gay theater major way.

New High-Quality Erotic Art is up at last. IT'S AN ART PIECE.



As I mentioned, this is going to be the last HQEA for a while, possibly ever. The strip ran much, much longer than I thought it would, and I've enjoyed the process overall. Unfortunately I've increasingly found my scripts bumping against the rather strict ceiling of my meager artistic skills, and I've had to kill several good ideas that just wouldn't be properly conveyed in this format. Also, I kind of totally hate drawing, you guys.

Anyway, thanks so much for reading. After a few weeks I might find that I miss the strip terribly and have to start it back up again, but for now I just want to take a step back and give it a rest for a little while. But new Atrox Comics will be starting up SO, SO SOON!

Yes, that's right. Right here, right now, we give you a preview of the new look and style of Atrox Comics. The new strips will be starting up in the next few weeks, and they'll most likely have a different layout, but this should give you an idea of what we're shooting for.

Next week will be HQEA's 175th Strip Spectacular, and then it will be going on a brief sabbatical as I figure out what the hell I want to do with it.

We're also looking to completely overhaul the site design, so expect plenty of changes in the coming weeks!

And HOLY CRAP, later this week we'll be putting up a special PREVIEW STRIP of our brand-new format for Atrox Comics! Stay tuned!

Leslie's Beastlies, cute and adorable as they are, tend to attract young children to our table. Sometimes these children turn out to be total superstars, like the young girl who came by our table a couple of times. The first time she came by with her dad, they looked at the Beastlies, she adored them all, and the dad vowed to bring her back by the table, so she could pick one out. When she returned, however, she couldn't decide. The rest of this adventure is in the form of a miniature play.

FATHER: How about that one?
GIRL: That one's creepy!
ME: Heh, heh...
GIRL: WHAT'S SO FUNNY?
FATHER: How about this one?
GIRL: Definitely not! That one's like "Duuuuuh" (She makes a stupid face and rocks back and forth)
ME: Ha!
GIRL: WHAT'S SO FUNNY???
FATHER: Look at these two. They look like they're married. Come back in a few months, there might be a third one.
GIRL: (indicating our table) Daaaaaaaad! They won't BE here in a few months!
(Girl considers)
GIRL: This one!
(Leslie wraps up the Beastlie and gives it to the little girl.)
GIRL: (to Leslie) You're SMART!
(Girl and Father leave)
LESLIE: That's the best compliment I've ever gotten.

A few highlights of Team Atrox's adventures at this year's Comic Con International.

-We were once again tabled next to Just Jenn Designs, which was something of a relief. It's always nice when those around you are cool/talented people.

-Leslie managed to sell out every single last Beastlie she brought to Comic Con. Woooooo!

-In other achievement news, I left the cash box at the hotel on Thursday and had to tear ass back to the hotel to get it before the hall opened. Through a minor miracle, I was able to convince the parking attendant that I should not have to shell out an additional $20 for parking.

-Leslie and I got to catch The Mighty Boosh concert on Friday night, thanks to our friends Lori and Eric. It was a very scaled-down version of their regular show, but still well worth the mere $5 we had to pay to get in. Hilarity, thy name is Boosh.

-Despite the claims of the makers of the "Twilight is Gay!" shirt, the clear shirt success at Comic Con was all the various Lantern shirts. Emory bought THREE.

-Also, "Twilight is Gay!" shirt wearers! Congratulations! You are worse than Twilight!

-The worst costume I saw was easily Frank Miller's The Spirit. Leslie says she saw a Halle Berry Catwoman. Come on, people.

-Frank and Paul thought Alex Winter came by the table at some point. Emory disagreed. I think they're still arguing about it.

Thanks to everyone who cam by our table! It was very nice to meet you all (even the crazies).

Team Atrox is taking the week off to go to fabulous San Diego for Comic Con! We'll be in the Small Press area, row O, table 07. We'll have a brand-new Atrox mini comic, chronicling the entire Butch Husky saga, as well as an exclusive postcard previewing the brand-new look of Atrox Comics! We'll also have all the usual minis and shirts, as well as Leslie's Beastlies.

OH MY GOSH HERE IS AN EXCITING MAP OF OUR TABLE LOCATION.

If you're going to Comic Con, be sure to stop by, and we will high five you if you ask politely.

A dark vision of things to come in today's new High-Quality Erotic Art.



We're gearing up for the big Atrox Comics relaunch, which will be happening shortly after Comic Con. Oh, Comic Con! Team Atrox will be in the Small Press area, at table O07. That's table 07 in row O at in Otter, but if you want to remember it as "007," I won't hold it against you.

We'll have a new Atrox mini, as well as shirts, postcards previewing the new look of Atrox Comics, and of course Leslie will have plenty of Beastlies.

Comic Con is July 23rd - July 26th. We'll see you there!
